Personal profile: Andrew Alexander

Andrew is a dentist in private practice in Launceston. He was born in Launceston and grew up on a farm near Deloraine and attended the Deloraine Area School and Hutchins School in Hobart. He studied dentistry at the University of Queensland and graduated with a BDSc in 1976.

He has worked since in a variety of areas in dentistry including school dental and private general practice, hospital and community clinics in Australia and the UK. During his long stay in the UK he also completed an MA in Medical Ethics and Law at Kings College London.

He enjoys the dental work in Launceston and putting time into the heritage listed building “Garthowen” in Charles Street where he lives and works.
