On 15 February 2021, the Royal Society of Tasmania offered a formal Apology to the Tasmanian Aboriginal people.
Established in 1843, the Royal Society of Tasmania is the oldest scientific society in Australia and New Zealand, dedicated to advancing knowledge and celebrating discovery in all fields of science, history and the arts.
