Any adult person may be nominated as an Ordinary Member of the Society. Such nomination shall be in writing and shall contain the full name, titles and address of the person nominated, and shall be signed by not fewer than two Honorary Life, Life, Ordinary, or Student Members and the person so nominated and shall be lodged with the Honorary Secretary.
Should you wish to join the Society and do not know a Fellow or a Full Member personally, please consider attending a face-to-face meeting of the Society, as listed on our Events pages, and meet or be introduced to any of the many Members and Fellows who attend these events. Similarly, use our contact form here to reach out to our Membership Secretary for more assistance.

As an institution dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, the Royal Society of Tasmania recognises Aboriginal cultural knowledge and practices and seeks to respect and honour these traditions and the deep understanding they represent.
