The Royal Society of Tasmania seeks your support to conserve and share its extraordinary art collection. Over 900 significant artworks, primarily from Tasmania, are held within the RST Collection, offering unique artistic, historical, and social insights into the island's colonial era. These include iconic landscapes, evocative scenes, striking portraits, and detailed natural history illustrations. Your generous donation to the Library and Art Fund will enable us to preserve these invaluable works for future generations and bring them to the Tasmanian community and beyond through exhibitions and public programs.
Help us unlock our hidden treasure and share Tasmania's rich artistic heritage.
A number of our artworks are in urgent need of restoration and conservation and may be lost forever without your financial support. We are working to catalogue and conserve these artworks ready for display. We aim to raise $500,000 over the coming years for professional conservation and to mount exhibitions.
Donations of any amount are much appreciated and donations over $2 may be tax deductible for Australian taxpayers. Donors of $5000 and above will be recognised as Patrons of the RST Art Collection at events and on promotional materials. Bequests specifically for the RST Art Collection are very welcome. Exhibition sponsors ($10,000, $25,000 or $50,000) will receive naming rights and publicity for a specific themed exhibition.
