Papers & Reports

Summary

An invertebrate fauna survey of the Stony Head Military Training Area in northern Tasmania was conducted over the period November 2020 to March 2021 as part of Australia’s Bush Blitz program. The survey focused on insects, spiders and molluscs, with other taxa sampled opportunistically, and identified numerous species that are noteworthy for their apparent rarity, habitat specificity or biogeographical interest. This paper documents the key invertebrate habitats during this survey and some of their associated species, including their ecological roles and likely management needs.
